A backtest runs your strategy against historical NSE data to estimate how it would have performed — no real orders are placed. A live deployment connects to your broker and places real orders based on your strategy's entry, position, and exit rules in real time.

This is usually due to slippage, brokerage fees, and execution latency that aren't always fully captured in backtests. We recommend reviewing the Slippage settings in your strategy's Position node and comparing your backtest's fill assumptions against real fill data from past live runs.

Yes. Go to Settings → Brokers and connect as many supported broker accounts as you'd like. You can switch between them using the broker selector at the top of your Portfolio page.
